Suar is the Indonesian name used for S. saman, also know as the rain tree or monkey pod tree, it is widely grown throughout the tropics and classified as a ‘secure’ non-threatened tree species. This beautiful timber has a striking contrast between the colours of the lighter sap wood and darker heart wood, giving the characteristic look of these eye-catching live edge tables.
